” Bigger Purpose “

Genesis 37 : 28
” So when the Ishmaelite’s, who were Midianite traders, came by, Josephs brothers pulled him out of the cistern and sold him to them for 20 pieces of silver “

You may often be told that you are destined for success in the Lord, you are more than a conqueror and somehow you find that hard to believe.
For many of us, the difficulty in absorbing this comes as a result of present circumstances – things may look so out of sorts in the natural, that you wonder how can good come out of this – but time after time God has shown us His faithfulness.

In the story of Joseph, Jacobs son, we see the hand of God in mighty ways – Joseph could have had a life in total contrast to what really happened. He could have been killed by his brothers ( verso 20 ), he could have been abandoned ( verse 22 ) but God chose for him to reach his destined place, Egypt, even though it was through his brothers selling him into slavery.

You see to this natural man, this could seem as the end of everything but do we fail to realise that when we dedicate our lives to God, nothing happens by chance or out of His will for us. Being sold for pieces of silver seemed like the lowest form of rebellion, even Jesus Christ was sold / betrayed for silver but look at how God used those situations to bring about glory.

Joseph became second in charge of Egypt and was trusted and depended upon to perform duties which ensured Egypt would be sustained – Jesus Christ redeemed an entire nation with His life and made todays word / life a reality. So ask yourself, are you still tempted to complain over why your life or its situation may not make sense or will you go down in prayer and seek God for His wisdom and guidance.
It is so amazing how much Gods glory is revealed when we raise our faith to another level – let us be encouraged by powerful people like Jesus and Joseph and allow our faith to lead our life forward.

PRAYER:
Heavenly Father you are the author and creator of all living things. You have called us into being and we rest in the power of your grace and mercy. Let your anointing flow Father God, help us to be strengthened in faith not just to face this day but for all eternity. Thank you for your promises Lord, your promise that you are greater than what may come at us. We lift up your name, we stand united by faith that whatever happens in our lives is not a matter of chance but ordered by you. You have a plan that not many may understand, we trust you Lord, we love you and we give you all the glory through your One and Only Son, Jesus Christ. Amen.

“WALK IN VICTORY”

(1 Corinthians 10:23 NKJV) “All things are lawful for me, but not all things are helpful; all things are lawful for me, but not all things edify.”

As followers of Christ, we live under grace. This means that our sins are forgiven as soon as we ask God to do so and then we repent.

To repent means to turn away from and not go back to something. Our sins should not become a habitual, often-repeated routine that we fall into.

Because of God’s grace and mercy, we have been given the freedom to choose what we do and what we don’t do. He has given us a free will.

We need to remember that as believers we have an awesome responsibility to please God in all we do. It is His desire that we live righteous, holy lives, shining His light into the darkness around us.

None of us will ever be perfect at this, but each of us has been given the Spirit of God living within us to help us discern things and keep our feet on the path He has set before us.

God has entrusted His work to us, His people. Let’s be sure we’re doing it to the best of our ability, guided by The Holy Spirit.

When I say GOOD MORNING I mean to say:?

G-od
O-ffers us His
O-utstanding

G-od loves you!

(2 Corinthians 5:17 NKJV) “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”

We want to let you know today that if you have received Christ and have been washed by His blood, you are a NEW CREATION!!!

You are not just the old creation with a little soap and water applied. You are blood-washed and brand new.

Jesus did not die to help us cover our sins or to put a Band-Aid on them. He died to wash them away and remove them from our past.

If you are in Christ, you are brand new! Your past has been forgiven and you have been given a new future as a child of God… the Most High King!!

So no matter what you are going through today, know that you cannot be defeated. You cannot be pushed backward. You are meant to move FORWARD.

Lift your head up and fix your eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. For He and only He is able to cleanse us from our past.

If the devil is waving your past in your face, trying to condemn you and make you feel guilty, remind him that Jesus paid the price for your sins and they are forever washed away.

Walk in victory today! Amen.

” Righteous living equals prosperity “

3 John 1 : 11

” Dear friend, don’t let this bad example influence you. Follow only what is good. Remember that those who do good prove that they are Gods children, and those who do evil prove that they do not know God.. “

How do we pursue a life of righteousness and one in line with God, when all we see is more sin and treachery surrounding our lives.
We live in a society where we are only concerned about our own needs and given the opportunity we will jump to drag the next person down. We may find ourselves at the helm of sin, slander, unfair treatment and if we are not careful this can dictate our future and who we are in Christ..
The enemy in all of His manipulation can use just one unfair decision or report to throw your faith out the door, leaving you feeling frustrated, sad and alone. Have you really asked yourself the question about who controls your life – what does it mean when we ask God to order our steps ( Proverbs 3 : 6 ). You may have been treated unfairly at work or that business opportunity you longed for was taken away just as you blinked and right now you are probably wondering how do I recover from this, how do I express faith in God again.

You see when we live by faith in Jesus Christ we live with the expectation of great things to come ( Hebrews 11 : 1 ) so when something which seems so lucrative in the natural is taken away, we can actually watch with a smile on our face and joy in our heart for that was not your manager’s choice or the business associate – it was our God Almighty’s will.
God knows our future and He uses every situation / opportunity for our good ( 2 Corinthians 4 : 12 – 16 ). If we are tempted to doubt todays revelation, then we encourage you to read about how Judas betrayed Jesus Christ and even through the betrayal and crucifixion, all was used to fulfil Gods glory. Nothing happens by chance, all takes place in Gods time and for His purpose.

PRAYER:
Heavenly Father we thank you for your love and grace which consumes our all and moves us away from the tragedies of life. Father we long to be in your presence all the days of our lives – may we guard our faith above all else, that we may identify the tricks of the enemy and move away from the things which so easily drag us down. We thank you that your will for us surpasses all that may come against us, we rest in the power of your Spirit for nothing happens out of your will for us. Be with us now Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we pray. Amen.
