We Are At War

Ephesians 6:12 (NKJV) For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Are you a believer, a follower of Jesus Christ? Have you been washed by His blood? Have you put your faith in Him and the sacrifice He made for us on the cross? If you answered “yes” to these questions, I want to tell you something. Some of you may already know this, but some of you may be surprised. We are in a war. I’m not talking about a war of guns or bombs. This is not a war of knives, spears, chains or any other kind of “natural” war. We are in a spiritual war. Every single minute of every day there is a war being fought. We don’t see it in the natural. But it’s happening nonetheless. The spiritual world is one of constant battles. They are being waged and fought on so many fronts across the entire world. And we are a part of that war, whether we realize it or not. Satan and his demons fight for our souls. They fight to tear down everything that God has done to secure our eternal future. They fight to destroy us, both physically and spiritually. As followers of Christ, we are also soldiers. Or at least we should be. We have been enlisted to do battle with the enemy and keep him in check while we’re here on this earth. So we need to take this war seriously. We need to understand it and we need to know what part we play in it and what God wants of us. We need to be good soldiers!2 Timothy 2:4 (NKJV) No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier. So ask God today what role He wants you to play in this war. What does He want you to do each day? Who can you pray for? Who can you encourage? What powers of darkness does He want you to rebuke and bind? There are so many things we need to be busy doing as a soldier for Christ in God’s army.

Thank you Lord Jesus for the armour of protection   in your holy name Amen

“Until the End “

2 Timothy 3 : 11
” You know how much persecution and suffering I have endured. “

The Gospel has been given to us as a source of our identity but for most part, it has become just another religious act.
When we understand who we really are in Jesus Christ, we begin to work from a point of victory. For many of us, victory seems as something of the past all because we give up and surrender before God can come through for us.

Todays scripture finds Paul addressing Timothy – in essence Paul was lifting him up in faith, so that Timothy could withstand the storms which may come. I love how Paul tells Timothy about the ” suffering I have endured ” his choice of words are so fitting in that he admits that he went through hardship but he speaks from a point of victory when he says ” he endured.”

The truth is he never gave up, he pursued to the very end for he knew who Jesus Christ was in him. Contrary to this let us look at Peter, he loved Jesus Christ with all his heart but with all of that being said, when the goings got tough, he took the easy way out and denied Jesus Christ three times ( Luke 22 : 60 ).

Today do you really understand who you are in Jesus Christ or are you just living with the fear of tomorrow. You may have amounted to nothing in the past but Jesus Christ is calling out to you to raise your faith – let us stop being an easy target for the enemy to attack – let us stand firm as we live to be victorious not just today but for every other day of this God given life.
Let today be a turning point for you and your faith, trust God despite the odds and rest in the power that He is the God of the impossible.

PRAYER:
Heavenly Father it is so wonderful to start this day and week in your presence. We humble ourselves before you so that we may pause to listen to your Word and your guidance. Things may be difficult right now but because of our faith in you, we can rest assured that you are working behind the scenes on our behalf. Give us the strength to face this day and week ahead and may we step out with confidence and passion knowing that you are our God and your never fail. We love you Father God, we praise you and we glorify your Name, through the sacrifice that your Son, Jesus Christ made at Calvary. Amen.

You Are Free

This coming weekend, we celebrate Easter, the Resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. So much happened at Calvary’s cross over two thousand years ago; but ultimately, Jesus overcame sin and death so that we could have abundant life. Because of Jesus, we have victory over anything that would try to hold us back! No matter what bondage, fear, stronghold, sin or addiction has held you captive in the past, when you receive Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior, you receive His power — His burden-moving, yoke-destroying anointing. Nothing can hold you back any longer because when the Son sets you free, you are free indeed! (See John 8:36) It all begins by believing and receiving this promise by faith. Today, thank God that you are free and have victory through Jesus Christ! A PRAYER FOR TODAY Father, thank You for giving me victory! Thank You for Your Word which is life and healing water to my soul. I choose to set my heart and thoughts on You, knowing that You are empowering me to overcome in every area of my life in Jesus’ name! Amen.
